The 3rd Annual Citrus County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Gala Presented by CL22 Productions is a beautiful celebration of community that unites state and local officials, business and civic leaders, residents, and Citrus County natives from near and far. Together, we commemorate the legacy, history, and heritage of Citrus County, Florida.
This event also supports our ongoing mission to preserve, maintain, advocate for, and beautify the Historic Crystal Memorial Gardens Cemetery, which dates to 1884.
We proudly honor leaders in Education, Community, Business, Healthcare, and Government—those who paved the way before us and left a lasting legacy. Funds raised from the Citrus County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Gala support the ongoing restoration and preservation of the Historic Crystal Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
On August 28, 1963, during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his iconic words calling for civil and economic rights and an end to racism in the United States. Many of the individuals who continued that fight here in Citrus County are now laid to rest in Crystal Memorial Gardens Cemetery. We proudly share their stories as part of this important remembrance.
We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual Citrus County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Gala Presented by CL22 Productions took place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Citrus Springs Community Center in Citrus Springs, Florida.
