Thank you for an amazing Inaugural event!

We hosted the Inaugural 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Gala.  The purpose of this Gala was to bring together our business and community leaders, citizens, and Citrus County natives far and wide to honor and celebrate “The Dream”, envisioned by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.   We also honored our leaders in Education, Community, Business, Healthcare, and Government who passed through time before us.

Dr, King's powerful words were delivered during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963, where he called for civil and economic rights and an end to racism in the United States.   Many of those who soldiered on in Citrus County are now interred in Crystal Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  We shared some of their stories.

Our Leadership Gala took place on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the College of Central Florida, Wilton Simpson Campus, in Lecanto, Florida.

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Gala celebrates the success of Citrus County as a whole. However, there is still much work to do.
