2nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Gala

The purpose of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Gala.  is to bring together our business and community leaders, citizens, and Citrus County natives far and wide to honor and celebrate “The Dream”, envisioned by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  We also honor our leaders in Education, Community, Business, Healthcare, and Government who passed through time before us.  The funds raised from the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Gala help restore and preserve our historic Crystal Memorial Gardens Cemetery, dating back to 1884. 

Dr, King's powerful words were delivered during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963, where he called for civil and economic rights and an end to racism in the United States.   Many of those who soldiered on in Citrus County are now interred in Crystal Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  We shared some of their stories.  

Our 2nd Annual Leadership Gala will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Citrus Springs Community Center, in Citrus Springs, Florida.

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Gala celebrates the success of Citrus County as whole, and we hope that you will join for this stellar event.
